This little girl is truly a blessing. Every day she proves to us just how compassionate, loving, caring, and responsible she is.
On Wednesday, October 28, she is going to receive a reward at school for Character
Counts. This month the character is responsibility. Yesterday she came
home beaming that she is going to receive the award. I read her agenda
notebook and her teacher wrote to us to let us know of the award and
ceremony. I asked her about it and she was grinning from ear to ear. The
way she carried herself after school Wednesday and Thursday was with
confidence and excitement.
When I wrote to her teacher, Ms. Page, about Izzy's excitement, she shared this story about Izzy to let us know part of the reason why she was selected for the award:
"I can't forget one incident
in the beginning of the year where she got upset with another student
and yelled at him and she immediately apologized and told me that she
needs to control her temper and she walked away crying, calmed herself
down, and apologized again to the boy. I was really impressed with her
not blaming him and taking responsibility. I didn't even have to do
anything to fix it - she fixed the situation all on her own! She really
is a good kid! You guys are doing something right! :)"
Josh and I had tears in our eyes after we read that about her. When we sat down to talk to her about the incident and applaud her on taking responsibility, she started to cry. She said, "I'm sorry I yelled at him and I'm sorry for not telling you about it." We assured her she wasn't in trouble and that we were very proud of her. She dried her tears and hugged us both and continued on with her excitement about getting the award.

Dear Isabella,
We are so blessed to have you as our daughter! You are blossoming into a beautiful girl inside and out! Like your favorite song says, "You're Unstoppable!" We love you. Keep up your goodness. We couldn't have asked for a more loving, precious, inspiring, beautiful girl.
Hug, Kisses, & Giggles,
Mommy & Daddy
